... is a tattoo & piercing parlor run by Rukai Uyagir and Zayaat Uyagir on the outskirts of Thavnair. They offer tattoos (traditional & aetheric), piercings, jewelry-crafting, and horn and scale modification for Au Ri individuals. All services and amenities are available via appointment.- The landing floor of the estate is dedicated as a casual lounge space.
- The basement is where the magic takes place! All body-modification appointments take place there.
- The second floor shelters a private corner, still keeping traces of the old residential abode that the parlor's building was prior to its renovation.Special thanks to The Storied Crossroads FC!

All services are IC - and are usually appointments where you will meet your artist, one-on-one, in-game or on Discord (as arranged)!
You, as the client, mean a lot to us! Reach out to the available staff/artist with your availability and interests and we will get to you soonly.
The typical service scene will take 1-3 RP sessions to complete, though we absolutely understand if you're pressed for time!
Fade to black is an option for time-consuming scenes that are unrealistic to play out (large tattoos, etc.) For other IC and OOC rules and notes, please refer to the rules page.

horns & Scales
Whether it be shaping horn-growth, trimming/sharpening, gilding or simply scales in need of better care- the horns & scales services are here for you. Catered specifically for Au Ri clients, and those adjacent (Arkasodaran tusks, Hrothgar forehead-horn, etc).The service often only requires a singular RP session to complete, though horn-binds may need to stay on for a few weeks/moons to follow for full effect.
jewelry
From delicate metalwork to authentic Xaela jewelry of brass and bone, the master artisans offer personalized commission-work of various ornaments for all body parts and types.
piercings
Ear-piercings, septum, tongues, belly-buttons, eyebrows, horns, oh my! If it's pierce-able, we likely offer piercings for it. Usually takes a singular RP session to complete, with a complementary care package for you to take home afterward.
Tattoos
Design with and receive an immersive tattoo service from the resident artist, Rukai Uyagir. Intricate tattoos tend to take about 1-3 RP sessions to complete, each being about 1-3 hours long on average. Optional design of tattoo reference for modding use is available upon request.
Pricing
OOC NOTE
All IC Prices are Purely IC. You do not have to pay us in-game gil for our services, though tip is always appreciated!
Gil Amounts are Arbitrary. We operate on the headcanon of 1 Gil = $ 1 USD, but we are flexible in scaling that however best suits your own take on FFXIV economy.
Payment can be haggled / paid with non-gil commodities. Prior examples include: scythe-wielding lessons, poetry, songs, and helpin' around the parlor.

THE BANANA CHALLENGE
There are banana trees outside of the estate. The Staff have not yet succeeded in grabbing any because the trees are too gods-damned tall.
If you manage to climb the tree (
/random 999and get 600 or over) and bring back a bountiful harvest of bananas, you can get your service for free.You can only try this once and must commit the challenge while one of the Staff is watching.

We are currently looking for folks who are:- alchemists, wanting to work in close connection with the artists to provide different concoctions, as well as have the option to have their own alchemic booth at the venue building- other tattoo artists / piercers / et cetera, who want to get their contact out into the world- apprentices for various crafts, to become a full-fledged artist working here or elsewhere- and more! Rules
the staff of blackscale parlor has all rights to refuse service at the violation of aforementioned rules.
IN-CHARACTER RULES- No weapons nor pets on the premise of the parlor. This includes aetheric summons (carbuncles, etc.) as well as simulacrum and voidsent entities.- Similarly, no violence within the parlor grounds. Violators will be given one warning prior to being escorted out.- Consent is Important. You will always be asked about your comfort levels before, during, and after your desired service. If you at any time feel uncomfortable or uncertain about the modifications being done, the staff is here for you.- Don't be late to your appointment! The parlor is a busy place, and we hate to see you run out of time.- Don't steal things! The Radiant Host frequents the area, and the brothers aren't too fond of seeing people out the door in cuffs.
OUT-OF-CHARACTER RULES- The Blackscale Parlor is an LGBT+ friendly and body-positive space. We expect all our clients to show this similar respect for everyone on the premise!- The Blackscale Parlor is also an 18+ venue. Both players and characters are required to be, and act as expected of, adults.- NSFW works require consent on both ends. The Blackscale Parlor is not an ERP venue and will never condone explicit/sexual roleplay on the premises.For tattoo/piercing appointments that deal with works that require undressing, both the client's and staff's explicit consent is required prior to its writing- though remember, Fade to Black is always an option!Should it be played out, please remember to keep it to /party or another private chat.- Communication is very important to us.
